Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving this year we went to visit Jon's parents in PA. Aunt Mary came home from college, and Uncle Jamie, Aunt Cory and cousins James and Jack were also there. Maddie had a great time with everyone! The kids played so well together. Alayna had fun getting all kinds of extra attention. Cory and I went shopping for 9 hours on Black Friday! The guys watched a lot of football. We took the kids on Saturday to get a cousin picture taken for Grandma and Papa for Christmas. It definitely was an interesting experience. Maddie, James and Jack got to ride the train at the mall. (Cory and I got to ride to but not by choice). Maddie celebrated her birthday early with everyone. It was just so nice seeing our family! 10 months old

I am late again but here are some pictures of the cutest 10 month old! I just can't believe that she will be 1 year old in less than 2 months. They just grow up too fast!

Little Alayna

I never posted pictures of Alayna when she turned 9 months. So I thought, better late than never. Even though in about 6 days she will be 10 months old. She is growing so fast, I just can't believe it! I am trying to enjoy every second of her still in her "baby" stage...before I know it she will be a big girl like her big sister. I just love these pictures of our baby Alayna.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween! Maddie has been so excited for weeks. All week she has been talking about Halloween. Maddie was Snow White and Alayna was an elephant (Maddie's first Halloween costume). Of course, Alayna didn't last long in her costume, she wanted it off of her head. Maddie and I went trick or treating while daddy and Alayna stayed home handing out candy. Even though it rained on us, we had a great time! Maddie helped hand out candy when we got home and she loved seeing all the kids in their costumes, especially when she saw Belle and another Snow White. We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!

From Maddie to Papa...

Old Mine Ranch

We went to a pumpkin patch today. It was a beautiful day! Maddie really enjoyed her time there. There were many farm animals there but Maddie kept her distance. Her favorite part was painting pumpkins. We ended up bringing home 3 little pumpkins and 1 big pumpkin. Alayna had a fun time just watching the other kids. Here are some pictures from our fun day!

Here's Maddie

It has been a while since I have posted pictures of just Maddie. She is getting to be such a big girl. Here are a few of her favorite things....her sister, her new Dora bike, going to the red store (Target), going to the playground, doing puzzles, taking care of her baby (she recently named Tasha), watching Backyardigans (where she got the name Tasha for her baby), reading books, singing and I could go on and on. I feel like I say this everytime but Maddie truly does have the sweetest personality and a heart of gold. She is so caring and very aware of others' feelings for a little girl that is almost 3. We love every second that we get to spend with her.

8 months old

Alayna turned 8 months old yesterday. We cannot believe how big she is getting and how fast time really does go by. Here are some Alayna facts...
*she has 2 teeth
*she is not crawling but she rolls where she wants to go (she is very good at it too)
*she LOVES her big sister - Alayna laughs every time Maddie comes near her
*she likes to eat - the girl never turns down food
*she is VERY active
*she would much rather stand up and jump than sit
*she says "dadadadada" and "babababababa"
*her smile will just melt your heart
*she is just such a sweet baby
