Christmas Time

We had so many pictures from Christmas that I didn't even know where to start. Here are only a few even though there are alot. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with my parents in Lynchburg. Santa visited the girls there and Maddie made sure that he knew that she would be a mama and papa's house. My next post will be our Christmas pictures from Pennsylvania with Jon's parents.

Fun in the snow!

While visitng Lynchburg for Christmas, Maddie went out and played in the snow. There was plenty around. Her favorite thing to do was throw snow balls. She also thought it was pretty neat that she could walk on top of the snow. (it was a little frozen on top). Here are some pictures of Maddie's fun in the snow!

Big Snow!

We had a big snow the weekend before Christmas. We got about 21 inches. Maddie never asked to go out in it. But she did ask "Mommy, where did the steps go?".Here are a few pictures of our snow storm.

11 months old!

I just cannot believe that in less than a month our little Alayna will be 1 year old. The time just keeps flying by, too fast for me. Alayna is crawling all over and pulling up on everything and everyone. She has 4 teeth and we are adding new foods to her menu (still staying away from milk because of her allergy). She LOVES her big sister and wants to play and do whatever Maddie is doing. Alayna is definitely a dada's girl and she has Jon wrapped around her little finger. She is a sweet baby and very social. She is not afraid to go to anyone and loves having anyone pick her up. We just can't hug her and kiss her enough. We love you Layna!

Maddie's Birthday Party

Maddie had her birthday party last weekend. She had A LOT of fun! She got many great gifts. Maddie and her friends played Elefun - what a fun game. THis year Maddie loved her cake and ate 2 pieces (guess she was making up for not eating any last year). Last Sunday Maddie helped me make cupcakes to take to her daycare on her actual birthday. We had so much fun! Maddie loved adding the sprinkles and eating the ones that didn't make it on the cupcakes. Happy Birthday again to the best 3 year old!

Maddie facts:
*Talks all the time
*Still loves to sing and dance
*Still really likes Dora and now likes all the princesses too
*Picky eater
*a GREAT big sister, she is so sweet to her little sister
*Loves to read books
*Wants to do everything for herself ("No mommy, I do it")
*Doesn't like to wake up in the morning
*Says such funny things
*Loves to shop (like her mommy - unfortunately for daddy)
*I can't say enough about how thoughtful and caring she is for a 3 year old
*Just has a heart of gold!

Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving this year we went to visit Jon's parents in PA. Aunt Mary came home from college, and Uncle Jamie, Aunt Cory and cousins James and Jack were also there. Maddie had a great time with everyone! The kids played so well together. Alayna had fun getting all kinds of extra attention. Cory and I went shopping for 9 hours on Black Friday! The guys watched a lot of football. We took the kids on Saturday to get a cousin picture taken for Grandma and Papa for Christmas. It definitely was an interesting experience. Maddie, James and Jack got to ride the train at the mall. (Cory and I got to ride to but not by choice). Maddie celebrated her birthday early with everyone. It was just so nice seeing our family! Here are a few pictures from our trip...

I am late again but here are some pictures of the cutest 10 month old! I just can't believe that she will be 1 year old in less than 2 months. They just grow up too fast!

The way she moves....

Alayna's choice of movement is the "army" crawl. She can crawl on all fours but chooses to do it this way...

Little Alayna

I never posted pictures of Alayna when she turned 9 months. So I thought, better late than never. Even though in about 6 days she will be 10 months old. She is growing so fast, I just can't believe it! I am trying to enjoy every second of her still in her "baby" stage...before I know it she will be a big girl like her big sister. I just love these pictures of our baby Alayna.
