Here's Maddie

It has been a while since I have posted pictures of just Maddie. She is getting to be such a big girl. Here are a few of her favorite things....her sister, her new Dora bike, going to the red store (Target), going to the playground, doing puzzles, taking care of her baby (she recently named Tasha), watching Backyardigans (where she got the name Tasha for her baby), reading books, singing and I could go on and on. I feel like I say this everytime but Maddie truly does have the sweetest personality and a heart of gold. She is so caring and very aware of others' feelings for a little girl that is almost 3. We love every second that we get to spend with her.

8 months old

Alayna turned 8 months old yesterday. We cannot believe how big she is getting and how fast time really does go by. Here are some Alayna facts...
*she has 2 teeth
*she is not crawling but she rolls where she wants to go (she is very good at it too)
*she LOVES her big sister - Alayna laughs every time Maddie comes near her
*she likes to eat - the girl never turns down food
*she is VERY active
*she would much rather stand up and jump than sit
*she says "dadadadada" and "babababababa"
*her smile will just melt your heart
*she is just such a sweet baby

Happy Birthday to Dada!

Sprayground

We went to a sprayground today with some of mommy's teacher friends and their kids. However, all the kids were more interested in playing at the playground instead of getting in the water. Oh well, they had fun! It was a nice way for us teachers to spend one of our last days of summer break.

Maddie and Alayna love to play together. Maddie is having a lot of fun with her little sister now that Alayna can interact with her big sister a little more. Alayna climbs all over Maddie, pulls her hair and kicks her (when she is playing), but Maddie always is so good with her sister and just laughs it off. I can tell that the two of them will be the best of friends!

It's the Fredlake Family Reunion

We traveled to South Bend last week for the Fredlake family reunion. We had such a great time and really enjoyed seeing all of the aunts, uncles and cousins. Saturday was a beautiful day at the lake for the reunion. There was so much to do and see that I took way too many pictues. I had to put them all in a slideshow. Enjoy!

Coch Family Reunion

While in South Bend we went to the Coch family reunion on Sunday. Maddie and Alayna got to meet more of their cousins. We all had a great time visiting with everyone. We just wish we lived closer so we could see everyone more often.

Fun at Grandma, Papa and Mary's House

On our way to and from South Bend, we stopped over at Grandma, Papa and Mary's house in PA. The girls had a great time! Maddie played in the pool and she did lots of puzzles with Grandma. Alayna liked hanging out and all the extra attention. We all had a lot of fun with Grandma, Papa and Mary!

6 months old

Yep, it's true - Alayna turned 6 months old this week. We also had her 6 month doctor' appointment. She is almost 17 pounds and she is 26 inches long. Alayna is really outweighing Madelyn who was a little over 15 pounds at 6 months. Alayna is a sweet baby and so full of energy. She loves Maddie and smiles every time her big sister gets near her. I can't believe in 6 more months, she will be 1 year old. Time is just moving too fast for mommy! Here are some pictures of the 6 month old...
