The Girls

So...I know I have been awful this summer with getting photos on the blog. Here are some new ones of the girls having some fun at home.

Maddie is always ready for a photo.

Playground Time

The girls love going outside and to the playground. We started out on a walk a couple of weeks ago and didn't realize how HOT it was going to be. Of course, the girls wanted to go to the playground. Luckily we have one nearby in the shade. You will be able to tell from their red cheeks that it was a very hot day!

More Lynchburg

We are back from our summer travels. We stayed in Lynchburg with my parents for a week and went to Myrtle Beach with the Coch family. I thought that I would post the rest of our Lynchburg pictures to show what fun we had while we were there. Beach pictures will be coming soon. We have had a very fun summer so far! I think that now we are home the girls may be getting bored :-)
WARNING - there are a lot of pictures!

Maddie made cupakes with Mama

Cupcake must have been good

We played in the little pool

Alayna wasn't so sure about the pool, and didn't want to wear her swimsuit

The girls loved playing outside in the big yard

Maddie LOVED playing with the water guns (the adults did too!)

Amazement Square

When we were in Lynchburg last week we took the girls and their cousins to a place called Amazement Square. All the kids had such a great time! And I have to say that the adults had fun too. There were so many things to do that we didn't get to do everything, but we did get to see a lot of neat things. Enjoy the pictures of our fun!

Pool Time

Last weekend the pool opened. We took the girls last Sunday and Monday, and today too. At first Alayna wasn't so sure about the water. But she soon figured out how much fun she was going to have and she loved it! Maddie got right in but she stays very close to the side. They both have a lot of fun!

North Carolina Trip

Maddie and I traveld to North Carolina last weekend for Christopher's 3rd birthday. Maddie had so much fun playing with her cousins. She especially loves to play with Alex, and Alex enjoys having a girl to play with since she has 3 brothers. It was a quick trip so Dada and Alayna stayed home. We had a lot of fun but we missed Dada and Alayna very much.

Birthday Party!

We went to Leighton's second birthday party yesterday and the girls had a blast! It was at a soft playroom and Maddie and Alayna were in heaven. The ball pit was a big hit! The girls were definitely tired after all the running, jumping, rolling and diving (yes, diving) in the ball pit and over the equipment. It was a great way to celebrate a sweet two year olds birthday.

Grandma and Papa Coch's visit

Grandma and Papa Coch came for a visit last weekend (April 24th). We thought that it was going to rain all weekend but we were pleasantly surprised when the sun came out on Sunday (must have been Grandma's prayers). So, we decided to take the girls to the playground. Grandma also took her turn down the slide too - we have pictures to prove it!

15 months old

I am almost 2 weeks late in posting, but I wanted to share some pictures of our 15 month old. I just cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. It really seems like yesterday that we were bringing Alayna home from the hospital. She is still such a sweet little girl. And even though she is 15 months old, Alayna is still our baby! Here is an update on Alayna...

*she LOVES her big sister and wants to do everything Maddie does
*she can be a "bulley" - she takes charge
*she loves baths
*she is a dada's girl (she calls me dada too)
*she likes playing with babies and giving them hugs and kisses
*she has a slight obsession with Elmo (Elmo is a very clear word she says)
*she is starting to say more things and its pretty clear too
*she likes to play outside
*she does try new foods but still doesn't really eat fruits and vegetables
*she loves books
*she is just so lovable and sweet!
