From back to stomach

Alayna started rolling from her back to her stomach a couple of weeks ago (I have been delayed posting). My favorite part of the video is after she rolls over and you can see her "old man" haircut!

Couldn't leave little Alayna out....

Since I posted 2 new posts of Maddie, I thought I would add one of Alayna too.

Two and a half - already?

Yep, Maddie turned 2 1/2 years old yesterday. She is such a sweet little girl with quite a personality. Maddie is still somewhat shy until she gets to know the people around her. She still LOVES to dance and sing, I think we should start dance class soon. She is just the best big sister to Alayna - Jon and I tell her all the time what a great sister she is. There are so many things that I could say about Maddie but it would just be too long. We are so fortunate to have Maddie in our lives!

Sister play time!

Maddie loves to join Alayna when she is playing on the floor. She likes to tickle her sister and have Alayna "tickle" her. Alayna loves to have her big sister join her when she is playing - hopefully that will last as they get older!

Can you tell that Maddie dressed herself? I guess since she didn't wear shorts or pants, she decided that the boots would keep her warm. (Ignore the expression on her face, she was mad at me).

4 months old!

Time just keeps on flying by. Alayna turned 4 months last Friday. She is such a sweet baby and full of energy! She is getting so big and seems to change a little everyday. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Alayna facts

I just can't believe that Alayna is already 3 months old. She started daycare full time last week, and on Friday her daycare provider called Alayna her "angel baby". We, of course, already knew that Alayna is an angel baby. I know that she is only 3 months old but I thought that I would list some facts about Alayna.

*she smiles all the time now
*she LOVES her big sister, just as much as her big sister LOVES her
*she loves to be snuggled when she sleeps
*she never turns away a feeding
*she likes bath time
*she is starting to reach out for toys and hit her hanging toys
*she is starting to like the car seat (this has taken a while)
*she is just the sweetest, most lovable 3 month old we know:-)

I have been going through old pictures of Maddie and I found this one taken 2 years ago.

Our Girls

Thought I would add some pictures of the girls. These were not taken at any specific time or have some special story behind them, just thought I would share pictures as I take them.

We had a lady that works with Jon come over today and take pictures of the girls. It was nice to be able to stay at home and have someone to come to us. Most of the pictures were just candid shots - actually she just took whatever we could get Maddie to do. Alayna just sat there and was a good sport as her big sister put Easter eggs all over her. Here are a few pictures from today.

What is Maddie doing now?

Since Maddie does not get too many posts anymore that are just about her, I thought that I would add a few pictures showing what Maddie likes to do. Of course, this isn't everything but these are a few of her favorite things.


Eating in her Dora chair instead of her high chair. Since we struggle to get her to eat, where she sits doesn't matter to us.
